2012 Jeanneau 409

Above and below decks the 409 has been designed for crew safety and comfort. Above decks you will love the large cockpit with long bench settees and high coamings. Dual helms open the center of the cockpit for easy passage to and from the companionway. A centerline cockpit table with double folding leafs and storage compartments offers the perfect outdoor dinning area, hand hold and a place for the hot coffee or cold beverage.

All the lines are led aft and are were set up for solo or short handled sailing. The main and genoa sheets are all the way aft by the helms for effortless trimming and tacking. The hull design with the hard chine makes her very fast and provides a more comfortable ride.

The fold down swim platform provides easy access to the water, loading and unloading the dinghy and a perfect spot to catch the sun and relax.

Wide side decks with well placed handrails offer safe, easy passage fore and aft while docking and anchoring. The electric anchor windlass and bow roller make anchoring a breeze.

Below decks the 409 is all crew comfort. The galley is set to starboard and offers all the amenities and storage needed for the hungry crew - top loading refrigeration, double sinks, propane stove and microwave.  

The salon is open and airy. Numerous hatches and port lights provide abundant natural light and excellent ventilation. The settee is set to starboard. Nice Option has the Luxury Salon table with built in Bottle Storage, Swing over Table Leaf and berth conversion kit. To port are two comfortable "Chairs" with the nav station/ breakfast table in the middle. A flat panel TV with DVD player is mounted on the main bulkhead and easily viewed from all the salon seating. 

The owner's cabin is forward and boasts a large double berth, vanity with chair and fold up mirror and generous storage. Twin aft cabins features full double berths and hanging lockers.

Aft to port is the head with marine toilet, vanity and stall shower with folding shower doors.

She has been designed to comfortably sleep 8 adults. Perfect for family and couples cruising.

Sail handling is the one of the best features on the Jeanneau 409.  She has been designed with a powerful, yet extremely easy to handle sail plan. All lines lead aft. The halyards and vang lead aft to coach roof mounted sheet stoppers and self tailing Harken winches (the additional coach roof winch option was added).  The main sheet and genoa sheets lead aft to each helm. The mainsheet has "German" or double ended sheeting. You can trim the main from either side. Both the main and genoa sheets are right at the helm with sheet stoppers, line bins and self tailing harken winches. Simple, safe, easy!
