Accommodations

Lotus is a wonderful cruiser and designed to offer the maximum comfort and safety while underway or entertaining dockside. She features a very large cockpit with high coamings, walk thru transom and swim platform. All lines are led aft to self-tailing winches and sheet stoppers allowing for safe, easy, solo sailing. Wide side decks, coach roof mounted hand rails and tall lifelines make for safe passage fore and aft while docking and anchoring.

Below decks the 46LE offers accommodations and comfort for the entire crew. The main salon is spacious and open. Numerous opening hatches and ports and Hunter "Windshield" provide abundant natural light and ventilation. The salon dinette offers dinning space for 8 adults. The table easily converts to a double sleeping berth. Opposite on starboard is a very comfortable couch style settee, perfect for lounging. The full nav station is just aft and is the electrical center for the boat with breaker panels and battery switches.

The cruising galley has generous counter space and storage and offers all the amenities needed for the cruising gourmet. It has been designed for maximum use of space for storage without intruding into the main salon.

The owner's cabin is forward and very spacious with abundant lighting and ventilation. Features include a centerline Queen, ensuite head and separate shower stall. Hanging lockers, drawers and cabinets offer enough storage for living aboard.

Aft are two matching cabins with double berth, generous storage and standing headroom.

Lotus is comfortable above and below decks and offers every amenity for family weekending, distant cruising and living aboard.

Versatility best describes the Hunter 46. Whether you want to cross oceans or bays, bang around the buoys or just liveaboard, this boat has the capacity to do it all. The dinette area is large enough to handle the crew, but intimate enough for just two. Storage is plentiful as is the natural light and ventilation. Hand-rubbed teak and exquisite fabrics are in evidence throughout the grand interior. An innovative forward head arrangement splits the shower and head so both can be used at once. An enormous dual-opening refrigerator and freezer are central to the U-shaped galley. Force 10 stove and oven plus a microwave will make dinners a joy to make while the island sink will have cleanup covered. Storage for everything is at hand including the recessed trash receptacle. The forward master stateroom rivals most yachts twice her size. Twin hanging lockers and lots of drawers make staying aboard easy and a great night's sleep is guaranteed by the inner-spring mattresses.

Entertaining is gracious with the open salon which incorporates a TV and CD stereo. Twin comfortable seats and a convertible cocktail table are located just forward of the extensive nav station with plenty of space for electronics and gear. Aft you have a choice of two layouts; dual staterooms or trade one in for an office/work area. Both are large, airy and comfortable.
