Accommodations and Layout

Aquila is comfortable above decks or below, under sail or swaying at anchor, cruising the islands or weekend on the bay. She has all the amenities needed for life aboard. 

Cockpit and Above Decks Above decks Aquila has been designed for maximum sailing performance with a keen eye toward crew comfort and safety. The cockpit is large enough for a crew of 8 yet designed to keep all the lines within easy reach from the helm. Her wide side decks allow safe, easy travel fore and aft. The bow is wide and open offering ample room for sunning and anchoring. An aft sun deck with cushion provides a safe sunning area and with the cushion removed provides a flat area for deck chairs and entertaining.  The cockpit features a full enclosure allowing you to adjust for the weather. All the lines run aft to port and starboard, coach roof mounted sheet stoppers and self tailing winches keeping everything within easy reach of the helms-person and within the safety of the cockpit.  Other deck features include port and starboard stern rail seats, swim platform and large stern storage lockers. 

Below Decks Below decks Aquila is pure luxury. She features a very spacious salon with Hunter's famous "windshield" and large fixed ports creating a wonderfully open and airy feel. To starboard is a comfortable "L" shaped dinette with convertible, teak salon table and removable bench seat. On port is a bench style settee and entertainment center. Just aft of the starboard settee is the forward facing navigation station with writing deck, captain's chair and plenty of storage. Opposite on port is the cruising galley offering all the amenities needed for sailing gourmet. The large fixed ports, forward "windshield", opening hatches and ports allow for abundant natural lighting and excellent ventilation.  The two staterooms is what really sets Aquila apart. Forward is a very comfortable and very private guest cabin with private head , large "Pullman" style double berth, built in bench seat and hanging locker.  The forward head features a shower, vanity and electric head.  The owner's stateroom is aft and is a true Master's Suite. She features an island queen with inner spring mattress, built in seating area with leather cushions, and a make up / writing desk. The suite also features private access to the aft head and a very private tub/shower. Additional custom cabinets provide extra storage for long cruises. A large centerline hatch and opening ports provide natural lighting and excellent cross ventilation.
